We popped in here after a boat trip and it was the perfect end to our holiday in Northumberland. We sat upstairs and it is beautifully decorated with inspiring quotes and references to children’s stories. We ordered 2 of the high teas, amongst other things. I enjoyed a coronation chicken sandwich and a wonderfully baked scone, while sipping on my tea and nibbling on salad and crisps. Would definitely return, it was lovely.

Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely little tearoom. Very attentive even though they were extremely busy. Loved the salted caramel hot chocolate and the toasties were delicious. Very accommodating for our furry friend too.

Lovely Visit

A truly warm welcome. I loved this cafe. The milkshakes were gorgeous, and the food was delicious, especially my ham and pease pudding sandwich. The atmosphere was really friendly and the cafe seemed to have a lovely mixture of locals and tourists, which was nice. The staff were outstanding 11 out of 10, warm friendly but not overbearing. I loved how 2 waitresses brought all your food together, so you weren’t waiting. Service was really quick despite the cafe being full. And I loved the recommendation by the waitress for the breakfast. We’ll definitely be back.
